The Dream
Bacon saw heat, a Pan, a Pig and the Sizzle. She woke without understanding what she had seen.
She remembers the presence before she understood the name.
The Search
She began looking for the presence from the dream. The search lasted years.
She believed she was searching for something she had encountered once.
The Recognition
When Bacon finally found the Cult, the faithful recognized her immediately.
They had been waiting.
They did not ask who she was.
They did not ask why she had come.
They simply made room for her.
THE QUESTION
Did Bacon find the Cult...
or did the Sizzle lead Bacon to it?
The Leadership
The Cult records describe Bacon as their leader from the moment of recognition.
Bacon's own records are less certain. She appears to have spent considerable time trying to understand why everyone already seemed to know what her role was supposed to be.
She eventually accepted the position.
She still does not know why she was chosen.
