They do not agree.
THE DISPUTED READINGS
“Build the Company.” — most commonly accepted.
“Build the Temple.” — found in two early transcriptions.
“Build the World.” — one copy only.
“Build the—” — original fragment.
The “World” copy disappeared from the archive in 7th Era, Year 4.
The archive log records no removal.
The archive log also records no reason for the document having existed in the first place.
The phrase “Build the Company” appears in later Cult records only after Bacon Industries was founded.
This has been interpreted as confirmation.
It may instead be evidence of editorial contamination.
Bacon's later testimony attributes the instruction to the Sizzle.
She never recorded what she believed the missing word was.
